Prof. Tariel Putkaradze International Society of Kartvelology  (TPISK) was found on December 28, 2021. The scientific supervisor of Prof. Tariel Putkaradze International Society of Kartvelology is Prof. Manana Tabidze.

Prof. Manan Tabidze is the full Professor in Georgian Language St. Andrew the First Called Georgian University of Patriarchate of Georgia Faculty of Humanities Born 1953. Graduate I.Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Philological Faculty (). Candidate dissertation (“Pragmonims in Georgian”) awarded degree of candidate of philological sciences (1993), doctor of philological sciences (“Language situation in Georgia and issues of functioning of Georgian language”) (2003). Full member of New York Academy of Sciences. Individual member of the American Centre of study ethnopolitical conflicts “Language politics and language planning international consortium”. Published 3 monographs and over 150 scholarly works. Major Research interests: Modern Georgian language, issues of normalization of literary language, sociolinguistics.

One of the main goal of the society is to offer to the scholars  to be notified about the available scholarly conferences and grants about Kartvelian Studies. Getting updates on scholarly activities and education news are free of charge and will remain so for students and scholars.   

In order  to immortalize the memory of Prof. Tariel Putkaradze, the team members of the society are working of collecting his works and make them more accessible to the general public, as well as continue the cultural and educational activities with which the scientist was associated with his life and work. Based on the set goal, several main directions have been identified in the work of the society:

1. Preparation of Tariel Putkaradze's scientific-pedagogical or publicistic ideas for systematic publication; This includes both publications in various periodicals and previously unpublished materials, namely:

- Articles posted on social networks and that part of the notes that are valuable for presenting Tariel Putkaradze as a person, citizen, teacher, fighter for the development of Kartveliology free from Soviet ideologies and for the unity of Georgians;

- Diaries that Tariel Putkaradze created over the years; these notes, reflecting the adventures of one Georgian man, at the same time represent an extremely important source for studying our recent history.

2. Development and implementation of Georgian language courses / programs based on textbooks prepared by Tariel Putkaradze's authorship and editing:

- For citizens of Georgia;

- For Georgians living beyond the state borders of Georgia, who are in the current Turkey and Iran province - Fereydani;

- For foreigners.

3. According to Tariel Putkaradze's idea, preparation of various textbooks (Georgian language, Georgian language stylistics...);

4. Active cooperation with all institutions that are oriented towards holding cultural and educational events dedicated to the work of Tariel Putkaradze;

5. Organization of an annual conference dedicated to the memory of Tariel Putkaradze, where a report on the work done by the society will be presented;

We hope that the activities of the society will contribute to the popularization of Prof. Tariel Putkaradze's scientific and civic orientation and the upbringing of a reliable future generation of the country.
